APPLICANT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Eligibility
By submitting an application, the applicant confirms that they meet all eligibility requirements outlined for Miss International Canada, including age, residency, and conduct standards. Applicants must provide accurate and truthful information.
2. Application Process
a. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.
b. All application materials, including photos, videos, and written submissions, must be original and the property of the applicant.
c. The Pageant Organization reserves the right to reject any application for any reason, including incomplete or inaccurate information.
3. Selection
a. Acceptance as a Finalist is at the sole discretion of the Pageant Organization.
b. The Selection Committee’s decisions are final and binding.
c. Applicants may be asked for additional information or interviews during the selection process.
4. Code of Conduct
a. Applicants agree to conduct themselves respectfully and professionally during all interactions with the Pageant Organization, staff, sponsors, and other applicants.
b. Any behavior deemed inappropriate or harmful to the reputation of the pageant may result in disqualification.
5. Intellectual Property
a. By submitting any materials, applicants grant the Pageant Organization permission to use submitted materials for promotional purposes.
b. Applicants retain ownership of their original materials but consent to reasonable use by the Pageant Organization for marketing, social media, and pageant promotion.
6. Fees and Payment
a. Any application or participation fees are non-refundable.
b. The Pageant Organization reserves the right to adjust fees or payment deadlines at its discretion.
7. Disclaimers and Liability
a. Participation is at the applicant’s own risk.
b. The Pageant Organization is not responsible for any loss, damage, or personal injury incurred during the application or competition process.
c. The Organization may modify dates, venues, or schedules as necessary and will make reasonable efforts to communicate changes.
8. Media and Publicity
a. Applicants and Finalists consent to the use of their name, image, voice, and likeness for promotional and media purposes related to the pageant.
b. This includes social media, press releases, advertisements, website content, and pageant videos.
c. The Pageant Organization may tag or credit participants where appropriate but is not required to do so in every instance.
9. Social Media Guidelines
a. Applicants and Finalists are expected to maintain professionalism on social media.
b. Negative or harmful comments about the Pageant Organization, staff, sponsors, or other applicants may result in disqualification or removal from pageant activities.
c. The Pageant Organization reserves the right to request edits or removal of content that conflicts with pageant branding or values.
10. Privacy
a. Personal information collected during the application process will be used solely for the purpose of administration, selection, and promotion of the pageant.
b. Information will not be shared with third parties except as necessary for pageant operations and marketing.
11. Health and Safety
a. Applicants must disclose any health conditions that may affect participation in pageant activities.
b. The Pageant Organization is not liable for injuries, illness, or other health-related issues incurred during participation.
c. All activities are voluntary, and applicants should participate only within their own ability and comfort level.
12. Travel and Accommodation
a. Travel expenses to and from the pageant are the responsibility of the applicant.
b. Accommodation will be provided by the Pageant Organization for National Finalists during the pageant.
c. Participants must comply with all local laws and venue rules during the pageant.
13. Termination and Withdrawal
a. The Pageant Organization reserves the right to terminate participation of any applicant or Finalist at its discretion, including for breaches of these Terms and Conditions.
b. Applicants may withdraw voluntarily at any time but will remain responsible for any non-refundable fees or expenses incurred.
c. Termination or withdrawal does not absolve participants from complying with post-event publicity, content sharing, or media release obligations agreed to at the time of application.
14. Right to Modify Rules
The Pageant Organization reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms and Conditions, pageant rules, schedules, or procedures at any time, at its sole discretion. All applicants and Finalists are required to comply with the most current rules and policies. Notice of material changes will be communicated as soon as reasonably possible.
15. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an application, the applicant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed from the agreement, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalidity of any single provision does not affect the validity of the entire agreement.
