Rachel Murgel is a 25-year-old from Toronto, Ontario. She graduated from McMaster University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science, with a double minor in Business and English Literature. She is currently working in Human Resources, helping new Canadians build their lives in our communities. She aspires to earn her Master's in English Literature, as she believes that while society values STEM perspectives, history, philosophy, and literature (all passions of hers) add depth and beauty to life. Rachel's Beauties for SDG Project addresses Sustainable Development Goal #4: ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all. Closely tied to health, social connection, gender equality, and economic growth, education is at the heart of creating a better world. She works to enable youth's essential literacy skills through a 3-pillared project that impacts children in need, because when you can read and write, you can do and be anything.
